The crew at Perillo Downers Grove always enjoys a trip to the Windy City. Chicago has plenty to do any time of year, from shopping and dining to a long list of museums. One thing that always lures us to the city is the endless list of live music. Take a look at some of the upcoming concerts in Chicago that we are looking forward to attending.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
If you’ve seen the 202 film “28 Days Later,” you’ve heard at least one song by the Canadian experimental band Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Their ambient songs create powerful moods using a range of instruments from horns to guitars. Their powerful live presence creates quite the memorable show. The group plays on March 18 at Metro Chicago.
Tyler, The Creator + Vince Staples
If you’re a fan of rap music, Tyler, the Creator should be on your playlist. His tracks are catchy and his lyrics cover everything from sexuality to race. He plays on March 2 at the Aragon.
For a beautiful, inspiring performance, don’t miss German pianist and composer Nils Frahm at Thalia Hall on March 24. His compositions include textured sounds derived from the piano, organ, and synthesizer. This concert is sure to entertain.
At Perillo Downers Grove, we are proud to serve the city of Chicago and its surrounding areas.
